Currently based in the Fort Worth area, Madcastle originated at Fort Belknap, near Newcastle, Texas (population 505) in 1994. Inspired heavily by southern based metal acts like COC, Pantera, Down, Crowbar, and Pissing Razors. Madcastle blends sludge, soul, thrash, and blues into their own brand of Texas Metal with crippling guitar tone and devastating drum beats.
