Mourning Fury, with their enthralling riffs, aggressive tempo changes and captivating lyrical content, are redrawing the lines of charismatic hardcore metal. Hailing from North Texas, the quintet are fiercely intent on leaving their mark upon the face of heavy metal. In 2004, four friends (Jon Pharr, Jace Joyce, Jordan Leeper, and Justin Leeper) with a common musical interest formed a band. From the bands inception, the foundation of Mourning Fury has been firmly planted in the artistic expression of its members. Each riff is meticulously created to reflect their unique approach to metal music, not the current trend. One sample of their music will leave no doubt as to the time and energy they commit to their sound. With the addition of vocalist Chris Glenn, that sound has evolved into a thorough, intricate art that combines unchecked anger with melodic composure. With feet firmly on the ground, Mourning Fury are driven to create music for the enjoyment of themselves and their fans. They emit the same intensity playing to a small group of close friends as to a sea of fans during a concert. They have no delusions that anyone owes them success.
