Great friends for damn near 8 years, drummer David Sikora and vocalist Christopher Sweigart have always kind of kicked around the idea, usually in jest, of doing some kind of extreme metal project. They initially formed Black Winter, a two-man black metal which is still brewing and creating. That wasn't enough, though - no live playing and only two guys locked in harmonious dark musical copulation could only go so far. As a result of this realization, Slow Evisceration was born - Craig Roberts, bassist and long time friend was approached with the job. Through him, they acquired a guitarist (and Craig's cousin), Cory Miller. That, however, was relatively short-lived and he was later replaced by friend (and Craig's coworker) Brett Elam. Cory, however, remained affiliated through support, management, and kickass recording aid. With more changes over the horizon, various unfortunate events led to then guitarist Lerin Huntley exiting with Jeremy Moody (former member of Blood Legacy, drummer David's long since deceased first band) taking the stage. After a few short weeks he too departed and former guitarist Cory Miller came back to fill the spot, with Lerin returning with a vengeance on the keys. With all this change we also decided to change the name of the band. We are now OBSIDIAN THRONE. Now with a new name and a stable lineup we plan on making more and more Melodically devistating death metal macabre. Our professional demo, titled "Pandemic" was recorded at Nomad Studios by the renowned J.T. Longoria (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, etc.) and is out now so message us if you would like a copy!
