PI is the symbol for a mathematical mystery that dates back as far as 1650 BC Egypt. It represents a number with an unending chain of decimal places. The only way of calculating digits within the number is to build a computer capable of tackling this seemingly impossible task. While there is no way of calculating the value of the whole number, its inherent meaning exists everywhere you look: in your own fingerprints and the double-helix shape of DNA.
